Will You Help Celebrate a Special Day with Me?
Last weekend, we kicked off my first reelection campaign with about 100 supporters and friends gathering in the heart of the Town of Vienna.
I want to thank everyone who came to wish me luck as we begin this campaign season.
In particular, I thank my friend Chonghae Durak and her staff at Harmonia School of Music and Art for opening up her beautiful facility to our event.
I'm also grateful that Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chair Sharon Bulova and State Senator Chap Petersen as well as Vienna Town Mayor Jane Seeman and other local elected officials and candidates joined us.
If you missed our party, here is an article in the local online news outlet Vienna and Oakton Patch and another on page 8 of this week's Vienna/Oakton Connection newspaper covering it, with some nice photos too. There are other photos on my Facebook page as well if you can "like" me there.
For those of you who missed the kickoff, here's another chance to get together for a special occasion.
Next Tuesday, May 10, I will turn 45 years old. To celebrate (or to commiserate...), we're holding a happy hour at Woo Lae Oak restaurant located inside what will be the new 35th District that the General Assembly adopted through last month's redistricting. The new district I will be running for this yearwill include the entire Tyson's Corner area where this restaurant is located.
Please join me at this happy hour to benefit my campaign. In lieu of gifts, I would be grateful if you would consider making a contribution to my reelection efforts. We are going to need a lot of resources to win this election in November.
While you're online, please check out my new website for both constituent and campaign-related information. The website is so brand new that we are still working on fixing a number of bugs and kinks. Nevetheless, I would love to hear what you think about the new look and functionalities of my new web presence.
Finally, remember Mother's Day this weekend and take a moment to thank all the special women in your life. I know I would not be who I am today without the unconditional love and support of my mother. Thank you Mother and all the wonderful Moms out there!
P.S. The best way to stay connected with me regularly is through social media. You can follow me on Twitter @MarkKeam and on Facebook at DelegateMarkKeam. Thanks!
